✨ Be God’s Glow

In a world that often feels burdened by indifference, we each hold within us the power to ignite change — starting with ourselves. Be God’s Glow is an invitation to first find your inner light through self-compassion and grace, and then allow that light to radiate healing to those around you. Join me as I reflect on a moment that sparked this realization and inspired me to embrace my role in the global movement of healing — one heart, one act of kindness, and one soul at a time.

Awakening to the Light Within

One morning, I woke up with a song in my heart — a familiar song from one of the greatest artists to ever grace world stages. I had heard it countless times, always responding with a general sense of positivity.
But this time, it felt different.

This time, the lyrics felt like a personal call, an invitation to participate in the healing of the world:

“Heal the world,
make it a better place
for you and for me
and the entire human race.”

For the first time, it felt like the words were speaking directly to me — reminding me that healing is not just a global mission, but a deeply personal one.

🌍 An Encounter in a Supermarket

A week later, I was standing in a queue at a local supermarket.

Behind me was a woman with a little girl, about five years old. The child asked for a chocolate — innocent, hopeful, with that natural abundance children carry.

But the woman snapped at her sharply.
The girl’s face fell.
Her eyes clouded with hurt.

She protested softly that her mother usually buys her chocolate.
But her words were dismissed.
The woman’s response was stone cold, and it cut through the child’s spirit.

My heart ached for her.
If I had carried my bank card with me, I would have bought the chocolate — not because she needed the chocolate, but because her little heart needed tenderness in that moment.

As adults, we understand the boundaries of money and discipline. But children do not process tone; they process energy.
And the energy in that moment was heavy.

🪞 A Mirror to Myself

Later, as I reflected on the incident, I realized something uncomfortable yet important:

I, too, have been that overwhelmed adult.
I have been caught in the repetitive “Mom, can I have this?” moments in supermarket aisles.
Sometimes I handled it with grace; sometimes I did not.

The woman in the supermarket became a mirror — not for judgment, but for learning.

Her reaction prompted me to ask:

  • What energy do I give off when dealing with difficult moments?
  • What version of the world do children see through me?
  • Am I reflecting fear, frustration, or compassion?

It was not about the chocolate.
It was about the emotional imprint we leave on the young souls entrusted to us.

🎵 Hearing the Song Differently

I admired Michael Jackson for using his influence to address global issues. As a child, I believed he could “heal the world” because he had money, power, and fame.

But now I understand something deeper:

The song was not written for the wealthy — it was written for everyone.
Every one of us carries a responsibility to bring healing, kindness, and light into the spaces we enter.

We heal the world by healing our homes.
We heal our homes by healing ourselves.

💛 You Cannot Give What You Don’t Have

I cannot judge the woman in the supermarket.
I do not know her burdens, her childhood, or her exhaustion.

What I do know is this:
You cannot pour compassion from an empty heart.

Her reaction revealed not her character, but her capacity.

And that reminded me why inner work matters.

When my inner space is healed, I handle external moments with grace.
When my heart is full, I respond with softness.
When my spirit is aligned, I become a vessel of peace.

🌿 Charity Begins at home

My inner space is my garden — a place where healing grows. My first home where my soul abides
When I cultivate it with awareness, forgiveness, and love, I naturally carry healing into the world.

It finally became clear why that song echoed in my heart:

It was a call to action.
A nudge from God.
An invitation to shine.

I may not change the entire world in one day.
But I can change the world of one person in a single moment.
One soul at a time.

Be God’s Glow

So I choose to let my light shine.
To heal my inner space.
To bring warmth where there’s coldness,
hope where there’s hurt,
and compassion where there’s confusion.

I choose to be God’s glow
— soft enough to comfort,
strong enough to guide,
bright enough to inspire.

In this journey, I’ve come to understand that we must first find our own light, embracing self-compassion and grace before we can effectively radiate that warmth to others. So, let’s take a moment to reflect: How can you let your light shine today?

Be God’s glow—embrace compassion and healing in every interaction. Together, we can transform the world, one heart at a time.

Be God’s Glow…
because the world needs your light
